Miscellaneous Pluto Stuff
On this page, we present miscellaneous Pluto Stuff, things that don't quite fit anywhere else on the site but which are of general interest.
1. A brief history of the military base at Longare from the Second World War, when it was a German Army base, and German factories were hidden in the cave under the "Hill", through the early 1990's--from Mr. Giuseppe Versolato, a resident of Vicenza and local historian. Click here.
2. A fascinating group of pictures of SETAF in the early 1950's--again from Mr. Versolato. Improbably, this group of pictures features actor Audie Murphy visiting an Italian missile battery. This group also includes a picture of Longare under German occupation. Click here.
3. An authentic paw print from the unit mascot, "Bitch", made with U.S. Army fingerprinting gear, June, 1977.
