Editorial Policy

This site is by and for veterans of the 69th Ordnance Company and its sister units. Except for personal recollections and pictures, the information in this site is based solely on publicly available documents. However, the site neither endorses nor vouches for the accuracy of any item contained in any external link. In fact, we know darned well that the external links often contain inaccurate or misleading information--for example, the USAREUR site's emphasis on SETAF's "Airborne" mission, which before the 1990's was mostly a sideshow.

We will (eventually) post just about any material submitted by a 69th Ordnance veteran that we believe will be of general interest. We will also post materials from our friends in the 559th Artillery Group or other ordnance companies if they are general interest. We promise to post at least two pictures submitted by any 69th vet--a "then" and a "now" picture. And, although we are sure you love your spouses, children and pets as much as we love ours, we will not post their pictures unless they happen to be 69th Ordnance veterans as well.

We will not post any submission which defames any former member of the 69th Ordnance Company or the 559th Artillery Group. If you have a 20-year old grudge, get over it!

In our guestbook, you can post your comments instantly and without editing. However, in a separate part of the site known as "R&R", we will post Reminiscences & Recollections (get it?) of reasonable length, so long as they adhere to these editorial policies. Materials may be edited for brevity, and pictures may be edited for size.

If you have materials you would like to post, but do not have a scanner so that you can e-mail the materials, you can find the webmaster's snail mail and fax information here. All such materials will be cheerfully returned after they are scanned by the webmaster.
